The IPS-2500 Intelligent Power Supply is designed to deliver 2500 Watts of power in a compact flexible package. The output is a DC voltage from 0VDC to 200VDC at a current rating of 0A to 25A. If more power is needed, two units can be connected together in series (Stack Configuration) to provide a maximum of 5000 Watts and 400VDC. The IPS-2500 can be controlled as a constant voltage, constant current or constant power device.

The IPS-2500 Intelligent Power Supply incorporates the Wide-Envelope™ Technology. This allows the unit to achieve a wider range of current and voltage for a given power rating. For details see the IPS-2500 Operating Characteristics.

The output can be controlled from one of four sources: 
 

· The Front Panel controls
· Remote analog signal (4-20mA)
· Via an RS232/RS485 serial communications link based on the Eurotherm BiSync Protocol. 
· The IPS-2500 is also designed to be operated from an optional PID controller such as the Eurotherm 2408 Temperature Controller.

The operator interface is simple and easy to use. During normal operation the power, voltage, current and current limit are continuously displayed in large easy to read characters. These displays are also used in conjunction with a control switch to configure and set parameters in Menu mode.

The IPS-2500 is designed to occupy a standard 3U half-rack space in a 19" equipment rack.

All electrical connections are made through connectors on the rear panel.
